The easiest way to keep IE from starting
Why disable IE?
- It is a security hole. Usually crack smokers are (That last part was a joke.)
- Microsoft forces you to use it. - I mean really, if Microfreak forces you to use it, it's just common sense that there's something wrong with it.
- Firefox doesn't have certain annoying pop-ups. - Yes, all messy users get those dang things. (FYI Messy- MSIE- Microsoft Internet Explorer)
- I, along with everybody else, hate viruses and spyware. - Although Firefox is not completely immune- with Firefox, you don't get a virus on every single website you go to (YES MESSY - THAT MEANS YOU!)
- MSIE might as well either be called CIV (Computer Immunodeficincey Virus), or CAIDS (Computerized Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.) Pretty much relating to the last reason.
- Firefox doesn't speak "Billyspeak," the official HTML language of MSIE.
- You won't miss anything - The extension IE Tab, availible from the Mozilla add-ons site, lets you view any webpage Firefox won't read because it requires messy to speak billyspeak with it.
- Firefox gets rid of your temporary internet files when you want it to. - see this page - that goes double if you use Windows 98 -which if you do, there are a number of unofficial updates availible - search for Windows 98 Unofficial SP2, and 98 Revolutions pack.
- Firefox updates itself. - Seriously, if IE updates itself at all, it's 9 months after the release.
- Firefox is availible all the way back to Windows 98- IE 7 & 8 Beta are incompatible with versions below XP SP2. Firefox is still availible and running on any OS today, including Linux and Mac OS/ OS X
- And finally, the useless but still funny reason- Microsoft wrote it, do you really need a better reason
